The PalmGuard from Moshi is a protective plastic-like layer that you stick on the palm area of your MacBook. It's made of durable material which protects this area against decolourising, scratches and stains.

The pack comes with the PalmGuard, a cut-out for the button, a protective film for the trackpad and a little ruler. The instructions are displayed on the back of the pack and, as the diagrams suggest, it's very easy to assemble.

After fixing the PalmGuard I do get the feeling that the space where my palms rest are well-protected. Its tough and truly scratch-resistant. I was a bit unsure about sticking the film over the trackpad fearing that it may cause the trackpad to lose some sensitiveness. But I needn't worry because the trackpad worked like normal.

My only grouse is that even though the PalmGuard comes in black or white to match your MacBook, the reality is that the inside of the white MacBook, apart from the keys, is actually grey. Hence the white PalmGuard doesn't really match the interior colour of the MacBook. (Of course, this isn't a problem with the black MacBook.)

The PalmGuard is ideal if you tend to wear a wristwatch or jewellery while using your Mac. It truly does what it sets out to do which is to guard the palm area.
