Moshi Releases Zefyr Pro

Moshi®, purveyor of electronics fashion, is announcing its release of the Zefyr Pro, world’s slimmest active MacBook Pro cooler. The Zefyr Pro is designed to strike a delicate balance between form and functionality. It is extremely compact and yet efficient in keeping the MacBook Pro cool under demanding conditions.

At the core of Zefyr Pro’s design is a high-thermal conduction interface compound, which enhances heat dissipation by providing a direct heat conduction path between MacBook Pro’s bottom casing and Zefyr Pro’s cast aluminum heat sink assembly. The thermal interface compound is soft and compressive to ensure complete contact with the MacBook Pro while preventing abrasive scratches. Heat accumulated in the heat sink is then expelled through the sides by a high-efficiency USB-powered fan that runs near silent.

Zefyr Pro enables the MacBook Pro to operate at peak performance level by keeping all critical components cool and stable. It also reduces excessive noise by lessening the load of MacBook Pro’s internal fan. Measurements have shown that MacBook Pro with Zefyr Pro operate at an average of 10°F lower while running demanding applications such as HD video playback.
