The kind people at Peachpit provided user groups with a new concept called Meeting-in-a-Box. It's a box of goodies containing a DVD, books, cards, tutorial sheets, a T-shirt and popcorn and chocolates! The idea is to organise a little gathering to watch the DVD, munch the snacks and have lucky draws.

Peachpit's first box (we hope there'll be many more to come!) is Photoshop World Boston 2005. The DVD contains highlights of Photoshop gurus like Ben Willmore, Bruce Fraser, Dan Margulis, Mordy Golding, etc. giving tips and tutorials at the Peachpit booth at Photoshop World.

After a brief introduction, we started playing the DVD around 8:10pm. Having popped the popcorn at home, Shah helped me distribute them in paper cups. Chocolates and drinks were also passed around.

The DVD showcased loads of cool tips from the pros and everyone in the room was paying close attention. There were also some light moments as some of the speakers were pretty funny as well.

After the DVD ended around 10pm we held the lucky draws. The winners got Photoshop books and a cool Design T-shirt.

I originally anticipated about 10 people turning up but in the end there were more than 25 who came - a mixed range from Photoshop novices like me to professional designers and photographers.
