| After
Apple unveiled the iMac G5 in Paris a couple of months back, this
latest incarnation of the innovative iMac line was officially launched
in Malaysia on October 8th.
The event, held at the trendy
Zouk club, started off with an iMac G5 video. It was followed by
a speech and presentation by Tony Li, Apple's Product Marketing
Director Asia Pacific, where he showcased the features of this beautiful
new product.
Then the fun truly began
- there were 3 games where participants could win exclusive Apple
merchandise.
The first game required
4 couples to transport apples without using their hands from one
side of the stage to the other, where there was a row of iMacs.
They had to type "iMac G5, Where did the computer go?"
into one of the machines and then rush back to the other side.
The second game was a sort
of 'human musical chairs' where a group of ladies had to walk around
a group of men and 'jump on' to their backs when the music stopped.
As there were more ladies than men, one would be left without a
'chair' and would be eliminated - but she would also select one
of the guys to be eliminated with her.
The final game required
4 guys to type into the iMacs the names of as many Apple products
as they could in 1 minute.
The top prizes for each
game were cool Apple bags, and consolation prizes consisted of Apple
polo shirts.
After the games, the crowd
was entertained by comedian Jit Murad. |
